How is Chlamydia treated?

Chlamydia is a curable infection, which can be treated with a short course of antibiotics. If you test positive for Chlamydia following a test or screen with us, we can arrange a private consultation with a Better2Know Doctor.

As well as discussing your diagnosis with you, your Doctor will also be able to provide you with a prescription for the required medication.

You may wish to take another test at the end of your course to ensure that the STI has completely cleared.

What else should I get tested for?

As well as individual Chlamydia testing, Better2Know also provides a wide range of comprehensive STI screens. If you are worried about a recent sexual encounter, Better2Know recommends you choose the Full Screen, which also looks for HIV, Gonorrhoea, Syphilis, Hepatitis B and Mycoplasma infections.

If you have symptoms of pain, itchiness, tenderness or discomfort in the genital area, the Better2Know Comfort Screen (or a Female Swab for women) may be the best option for you.
