How soon after a sexual encounter can I get tested?

The Better2Know Blemish Screen does not require a specific period of incubation. If you have a lump, wart, lesion, blister, blemish or rash in or around your genital area, this screen may be the best option for you.

Which samples does the Blemish Screen require?

With the Blemish Screen, we will take two swab samples of the suspected, symptomatic area. This will ascertain if your current symptoms are caused by any of the STIs included in the screen. There are no dietary requirements associated with the Blemish Screen, and there is no need to fast before your test.

What happens at my appointment?

At your private and confidential appointment, your swab samples will be taken swiftly and efficiently by a qualified medical practitioner. Once collected, your samples are sent away for analysis at our highly accredited laboratory.

When will my confidential results be available?

You will receive the results of your Blemish Screen within five working days of your sample's arrival at our fully certified laboratory.
